Pierwsza kamera Canon'a, która miała 24Mbit to była chyba HF11. Na camcorder.info robili testy tej kamery i kamery z bit rate chyba 16mbit lub 17mbit. Różnica była trudna do stwierdzenia.

Canon HF10
There's little difference between the Canon HF10 and Canon HF11. The big, advertised improvement in the new generation is an increased bitrate, up from 17Mbps to 24Mbps. This makes Canon the first to produce a consumer camcorder to reach the bitrate ceiling on the AVCHD codec. Być może producenci kamer jeszcze nie potrafią w pełni wykorzystać większego bit rate i być może kolejne modele będą potrafiły uzyskać znacznie lepszy obraz przy 24kbit niż obecne. Jedno co pewne na ten moment to fakt, iż przy 24kbit plik będzie dużo większy od pliku o takim samym czasie trwania ale 16kbit. A każdy kto jakiś czas nagrywa już w HD wie dobrze ile po pewnym czasie pliki HD potrafią zająć miejsca i jaki jest później problem z archiwizowaniem nagrań np. na płytach.
