Test of TV LCD Firstline FS26052HI 66cm - 1° Partie
* Design and completion:
I suspected that a so cheap television set and of mark firstline would not as well be finished as a Sony television set but I was agreeably surprised: The design is very pleasant with these contours black and its loudspeaker under the screen (a little like Sharp) nothing to have with the old model firstline... When with the completion, it appears to me of good invoice for a television set of this price. The note is minimalist...
* Connector industry:
S-video, 2 péritel (a RVB), component, VGA D-Sub and DVI (I did not succeed in knowing if it were compatible HDCP).
It misses only one Composite entry (quickly solved with a S-video adapter or péritel). On the other hand, there are NO provided cables!
* Filters and adjustments:
It are not very numerous. One finds there traditional the luminosity, contrast and color. The adjustment of neteté allows decreased effect of crenellation in low resolution. Deux-trois filters present, only one convinced me: the supression of "swarming" (adaptive movement). It makes it possible to remove swarmings on contours of the images sharp (logo of chains, texts...) It is rather effective!
* TV:
Unfortunately the reception in my building is poor. I cannot thus judge quality of the tuner. I can to just say you that it is better than my chart TV Wintv 2000 and than it found without difficulty the 6 chains...
* Freebox by péritel:
If you do not know it, the video quality of the freebox (mpeg2) is known for its mediocrity. Compression is quite visible so much on this television set the definition is large but at a certain distance (> 2m) that remains bearable. The colors are sharp (a Little too in the reds) and contrast is very good! Ca you "pète" with the eyes
Here is for the moment. It delays me to test entry DVI with my PC to really be able to judge quality of the screen. I will provide also a test with reading DVD and Xbox plays (by péritel) before judging if this television set is worth really the blow.
